– Mon L125 オレ、大みそかが待ちきれないよ
I can’t wait for New Year’s Eve. My favorite band is participating in the year end song festival.
I want to eat delicious food for many many days.
That sounds pretty amazing. Can you explain New Years to me in more detail.
First we have to go shopping in preparation for special dishes called Osechi before New Year’s Eve.
Then we make sure to visit a shrine or temple to make wishes for the New Year.
It’s called Hatsumode.
Do you think I could go with one of you.
Sure. None of us are leaving Tokyo for the holidays.
Let’s all go.
Before that, why don’t we go shopping in that famous street.
– Tue L126 さあもっと歩き回りましょう
Wow! It’s so crowded in Ameyoko today.
This is a very traditional and old area. Many people come here to prepare for the New Year’s Holidays.
How do you prepare? In America after Christmas we relax.
This is a special Japanese family holiday. We have to clean the whole house by New Year’s Eve.

Doug invite me to go volunteer at remote area after graduating from junior high school.

No, he didn’t tell me. He just said it was far away. To be honest, it was frightening when he asked.
Maybe he is lying.
Asukachan, I don’t think you should go.
