I haven’t been the TCC factory in a while!
Their head engineer just manufactured a new product. You’ll be interviewing him for Minnesota Prairie. Oh, here he comes!
What the ..Takuma?!
Gary! So good to see you!
Wow! Tsutomu never told me you were the head engineer at TCC!
We are modest family. Stay humble..
Still number 1! Shall we start the interview?
Take it away, Gary.
Hello, folks. This is Gary Keller. I am on location at the TCC Factory right now.
They have just developed a brand new product. Here to tell us all about it is their head
Engineer, Takuma Sekiguchi!
Q: What does Takuma say when Gary asks to start the interview?
A: Take it away, Gary. どうぞはじめて下さい
We finally get to meet a member of Tsutomu’s family. I was starting to wonder what his family was like? Now I want to meet his mom.
Are you ready, Monica?
I forgot how scary performing can be. Gary told me that I should take deep breaths before going on stage.
That’s great advice.
I can’t believe how many people there are! The room is packed!
Oh, Tsutomu and I spent the whole month advertising the play. Also, your friend did a lot of work, too.
You mean Cathy? Oh, how lucky I am to have such great people around me!
Easy, Aunt Monica. Now you have to show them it was worth it.
Of course. Just you watch!
OK, I’m going to dim the house lights.
Let’s do it.
Q: Who helped advertise the play?
A: Cera, Tsutomu and Katy.
Monica looks nervous to be on stage again. Remember, if you are feeling nervous, always take deep breaths. It’s the best way to overcome fear.
Aunt Monica.. that was amazing! The crowd gave you a standing ovation!
I can see why you performed at the Guthrie!
Thank you both so much ! I’m so glad that I decided to get back into this.
You were right. You still got it.
Thank you so much, Cathy. This is my niece, Sarah. She’ll start attending Macalester in the fall.
Such a pleasure to meet you, Sarah. It’s so nice for you and your friend to use your spring breaks to help Monica.
Thank you, Cathy, but he’s not my friend. He’s my boyfriend.
Well, well. Nice to meet you, boyfriend.
Q: How does Sarah introduce Tsutomu to Cathy?
A: He’s my boyfriend.
Great job, Monica. I want to perform on stage too. Also Sarah is calling Tsutomu her boyfriend. Looks like the two have an officially become a couple.
That was a really fast spring break.
Yeah, tomorrow, it’s back to school. Two more months to go.
Only once did I even think of graduation. Now, I can’t think of anything else!
It means we’ve all been having fun.
Let’s really make these last couple months count, guys.
Oh! It’s time for “Minnesota Prairie” ! Let’s listen, everyone!
Good evening, folks. This is Gary Keller. Welcome to the final winter edition of “Minnesota Prairie”. It certainly was a dramatic winter. I hope you are now ready for spring. We will continue staying on the air, so stick around.
Q: What does Gary say about the winter?
A: It was dramatic.
And just like that. Sarah and her friends have finished their last spring break as high school eras. Good-bye, everyone. Parting is such sweet sorrow.
+Let’s try chunk practice
Why don’t we ..?
How lucky I am!
only then did I realize ..
1). Only once did I hear from David.
2). Once she starts talking, she never stops.
3). Why don’t we have a quick cup of coffee?
4). How lucky we are to have a chance to visit your country!
