What’s the difference?
Use wonder with an O when you ask yourself a question.
There’s something you want to know.

Or to make a polite request.
I wonder if you can help me.

Use wonder with an A when someone walks slowly around a place, normally with no specific plan or aim.
What are you up to, George?
Oh, I’m just wandering around the office.

Careful with the pronunciation.
With an O, it’s pronounced with an ʌ́ sound. wonder.
And with an A, it’s pronounced with an ɔ́ sound. wander.

I wonder why wander is written with an ‘a’.
