MOMOTARO 桃太郎物語 第3幕
Previously on MOMOTARO
The couple was overjoyed and named him Momotaro. The baby grew up very fast to be the strongest lad in the area. When he turned 15, he told his parents that he was going to Onigashima or the Ogres’ Island to crush them, for they had been attacking people and plundering their food, crops and treasures. His parents brought out their mortar and pestle and pounded millet to make kibidango, a special kind of dumpling used for centuries to increase stamina. And they made their son a banner which said: “Momotaro, the Strongest of All Japan.”
