English conversation phrases frequently used by native speakers* are uniquely extracted using corpus linguistics methods, my specialty.

Many of the phrases you think, “Oh, yeah, I’ve seen that before”? But wait a minute! There is a “secret” behind these phrases that makes them so popular. The key word of this secret is “emotion.
Conversations are made up based on the purpose, situation, and relationship with the speaker on the spot.
In reality, it is a very complex process that takes place in the mind.

In order to have a good conversation, we unconsciously prepare a variety of tools to facilitate conversation.
One of the main points of this course is to understand communication strategies.
And the driving force of that strategy is the “feelings” behind the use of phrases.
In this program, Thelma Aoyama, who is bilingual, will introduce the results of the analysis of conversation data, and will explain the motivation behind the use of phrases.
