Emily introduced her new boyfriend to Thelma today. And now she wants to know what Thelma thinks of him.
エミリーから新しい彼氏を紹介されたテルマ。 彼が帰るとさっそく印象を聞かれます。
Thelma is introduced to a new boyfriend by Emily. As soon as he gets home, he asks me about my impressions.

He’s … you know… nice?
彼･･････そのぅ･･･•••いいんじゃない?

テルマはエミリーの彼氏の印象を聞かれますが、 適当な言葉が見つからず、答えにくそうです。
(When asked about her impression of Emily’s boyfriend, Thelma finds it difficult to find the right words to answer.)

そこで you know を連発。 このようにyou knowは「えーっと」「あのう」 「そのう」と何を言おうか考えているときのつなぎ言葉として用いられます。
アメリカ英語ではかなりフォーマルな場面でも使う人がいますが、 イギリス英語やアカデミックな文脈では多用しすぎるとあまり好印象ではないのでご注意を。
(In American English, some people use it in fairly formal situations, but in British English and in academic contexts, it doesn’t give a good impression if used too often.)
