-Talk the Talk with Heather Howard
S:
People around the world have had to deal with the new normal of the pandemic, and many called 2020 “the worst year ever” or “the year from hell.”  For me, it was the first year in almost half a century in which I didn’t board an airplane to travel domestically or internationally.  How was your 2020, Heather?
 from the hell 最悪の、最低の
H:
It certainly made me appreciate the value of ordinary, everyday life, and realize how much I took for granted.  I hope I always remember to be grateful for the people in my life, to let them know
how much I appreciate them. It’s reminded me, too, of how connected the world is and how the events in one country or region can so quickly and profoundly affect another.  I hope the experiences of 2020 will inspire us all to greater cooperation in the future.  I hope the people of the world find more ways to help each other not pull further apart.
how much I took for granted.
take something for granted -, 〜を当然だと考える
