Hello and welcome, everyone. Thanks for joining us.
My name is Gary Scott Fine.
Hi, everyone. I’m Hannah Grace. I hope you’re enjoying this program.
Hello, I’m Nakamura Riku. I can’t wait to chat today.
Hi, I’m Stefan Thorgeirsson. Let’s have some fun.
Mmm, let’s!
Today, Riku will share his thoughts on this week’s topic.
Okay, I’m ready.
Okay.
I’m looking forward to it.
Well, then, let’s start the lesson.

♪ Topic 2: What do you eat first? Day 5.
Let’s start by listening to this week’s dialogue. We’ll play it at natural speed, so it may sound a little fast. But don’t worry if you don’t catch everything. Let’s listen.

Now, listen to a quick summary of Ken’s and Mika’s thoughts. Try to write down the key words while you listen. Here we go.
When Ken eats a meal, he likes to eat his favorite thing first. If he eats what he doesn’t like first, he thinks he’ll become full. And then, he won’t be able to enjoy the things he likes.
When Mika eats a meal, she starts with what she doesn’t like. That way, she can look forward to her favorite things at the end, and she finishes her meal feeling very happy.
