Hello, it’s alway great to be here.

Francesco, looking at your employment history Yumi on your CV, you’re in charge of marketing at the Japanese subsidiary of an Italian apparel firm. So, what made you apply for this position?
I’ve been at my current company for a long time Francesco now. I enjoy my job, but I’d like to diversify my experience beyond Italy and Japan.
I see. We’ve been expanding our operations globally. I’m sure you’d have opportunities to broaden your horizons.
Sounds very exciting.

Well, I think selling yourself is really hard for many Japanese people. They tend to play down their accomplishments. Now it may seem like Americans are all really confident, but it’s because we know interviewers like confidence. So we just accept that it’s a part of being interviewed.
