To motivate or boost, to give courage, to give someone confidence, support or inspiration. Dr. Harris said that the F-O-P-M program encourages students to think internationally or guide students toward thinking internationally.

With a new perspective, usually a more positive perspective. Accepting new information into your perspective or world view.
ethics 倫理
Morale principles. “Ethics” are a person’s guide for what is considered right and wrong.
compulsory 必修の、義務付けられた
Mandatory, obligatory, a rule or law that must be obeyed. For example, at my school, studying Spanish was compulsory for at least two years. After that, you had the option to continue or select another language.
unconscious bias 無意識の偏見
