Hey everyone. Rosa Akino here. Hey, Chris, guess what?

Hiroshi bought me a new car.

Ivy, you’re going to Carl’s Christmas party in Ebisu, aren’t you?
Yes, I read the email invitation. It says there is going to be a present exchange. We’re supposed to bring a gift that costs no more than 1,000 yen.
Did you buy your gift already?
Yes. I bought a loofah.

A loofah. It’s a kind of sponge made from a tropical plant. It’s good for washing your body with soap when you take a shower.

Well, I think more women know about it than men.

go onは「(旅行などに)出かける」 go on a trekking
So, what’s the difference between trekking and hiking?
Well, I think trekking is rather more serious, and more challenging. It’s also usually longer, and often where there’s no clear path. Whereas hiking is just a very pleasant outdoor activity. What do you think, Rosa?
Yeah. Trekking definitely has a much more serious nuance to it. So if someone were to invite me to go trekking, I would say, “But I don’t have all the supplies that I need.”
