皆さんはスマートスピーカーなどの音声認識機能を使ったことはありますか?
Have you ever used a voice recognition function such as a smart speaker?
ぜひ英語で試してみて、 音楽を再生したり、天気やニュースを調べてみたりしてください。
Try it out in English, play some music, look up the weather or the news.
今回はさらに、スマートフォンの音声入力を使った自主練習の方法を伝授します。
This time, we will also teach you how to practice independently using voice input on your smartphone.
まずは画面上のキーボードの入力設定を 「かな」から「ローマ字」に切り替えます。
First, switch the input setting of the keyboard on the screen from “Kana” to “Romaji”.
次に、キーボードの端にあるマイクのアイコンを押してみましょう。
Next, try pressing the microphone icon on the edge of your keyboard.
これで音声入力ができるようになります。
You can now use voice input.
そのあと、この講座に登場するような短く一般的な英語表現を、スマートフォンに向かって言ってみてください。
After that, try saying short, common English expressions that appear in this course into your smartphone.
これで英語表現をうまく発音できているかチェックできます。
Now you can check if you are pronouncing English expressions well.
うまく入力できない場合はすぐ表示が出ますから、質のよい練習になります。
If you can’t enter it well, it will be displayed immediately, so it will be a good practice.
まず1文が入力できたら、 全文を入力できるかチャレンジしましょう。
First, if you can enter one sentence, let’s challenge whether you can enter the whole sentence.
How many sentences can you say?
ネイティブがやってみても、 100パーセント正しく文字起こししてくれるとはかぎりません。
Even if a native speaker tries it, there is no guarantee that they will transcribe it 100% correctly.
8割程度の正確さで大丈夫です。
80% accuracy is fine.
次のステップとして、 10秒チャレンジや対話カラオケのように自由に英文を作って音声入力をしてみましょう。
As the next step, let’s make English freely and voice input like 10 seconds challenge or interactive karaoke.
すでにできあがっているテキストの文よりも、 自由英作文のほうが発音と言葉遣いが問われます。
Pronunciation and phrasing are more important in free English composition than in ready-made text sentences.
あまり一般的でない英単語の並びであれば、うまく表示されなかったり、間違いの下線が自動的に引かれたりします。
Unusual sequences of English words may not display well or may be automatically underlined for errors.
