This month’s setting is the Netherlands! Of course, the navigator Yanni is also with us.)
ヨーロッパには国を越えた文化圏があり、 言葉が多少似ていることもあります。 (In Europe, there are cultural spheres that transcend national borders, and sometimes the words are somewhat similar.)
僕が北欧を訪れたとき、 「こんにちは」は大体 Hallo. でしたし、Good day. に近い God Dag. という挨拶を耳にしたこともあります。
今月のオランダ、 そして来月のスイスでも、一緒に旅するつもりで会話しましょうね。

今年度は世界を股にかけて9か国に行きます! この旅を通して、基本的な単語でいいので瞬発力をつけて英語を口に出すようにしましょう。ここで、旅先で会話を円滑にする2つのアドバイスがこちら!

-自転車にまつわる基本単語
「自転車」 という名詞には大体bike を使います。 bicycle ももちろん通じますが、これは別の名詞を修飾する場合 (bicycle lane やbicycle helmet など) によく使います。 そして、 「自転車で移動する」を表す動詞が cycle。 「自転車通勤をしています」 なら、 I cycle to work. と言えます。
