BBC Learning English – ‘I’ve learnt’ or ‘I’ve been learning’?

Ask BBC Learning English: ‘I’ve learnt’ or ‘I’ve been learning’?

BBC Learning English

I’ve learnt or I’ve been learning?
What’s the difference?
That’s what Juan wants to know.
I want to know where is the difference between present perfect and present perfect continuous.
So, if the action is not complete, and we’ll probably continue, use the present perfect continuous.
I’ve been learning, I’ve been learning to juggle, but it’s so difficult.
If the action IS complete, it’s finished, use the present perfect, simple.
I’ve learnt, I’ve learnt to juggle.
I can now juggle, I’ve also made a longer video answering this question. You’ll learn four more differences, and when not to use the present perfect continuous. The video’s on our website now. So come with me to watch it. See ya.
Come after to join us.
