Here are 5 expressions you can use when you’re feeling snowed under.
1). snowed under
When you’re snowed under, you are very busy and have too much work to do.
2). take (something) on
When you take something on, it means you accept a task or responsibility.
I think we’ve take on too much.
3). catch up with (something)
When we catch up with stuff with something, we do something that we didn’t have time to do before
I’ve got to catch up with my emails.
4). getting back to (someone)
Getting back to someone means replying to someone.
I have got a lot of people to get back to.
5). burning the midnight oil
Burning the midnight oil means you have to work late into the night.
I’m sorry, but I think we’re going to have to burn the midnight oil to meet these deadlines.
