Five phrasal verbs to talk about the new year. Use 'take up' to talk about starting a new hobby or activity. I'm gonna take up boxing in the new year. And use 'cut down' when you use or do less of something. I'm gonna cut down on caffeine this year. No more coffee. Use 'give up' when you stop doing something that's bad for you. I'm definitely giving up chocolate this year. Use 'stick to' when you continue doing something difficult. I plan to stick to all these resolutions this year. Not like last year. And use 'look forward to' when you feel happy about something that's going to happen in the future. I'm looking forward to sitting down with a nice coffee and a bit of chocolate now.
