広島平和記念資料館、ウクライナ語音声ガイドを導入 学生避難者の尽力に感謝

A Ukrainian-language version has been added to the multilingual audio guide for visitors to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum’s exhibits.

The audio guide introduced on Feb. 16 was translated with the help of 12 students who evacuated from Ukraine after the Russian invasion to study at the Japan University of Economics in Dazaifu, Fukuoka Prefecture. Ukraine will soon mark two years since the Russian invasion began.

The guide provides detailed explanations of items left behind by A-bomb victims and materials in the museum that convey the devastation wrought by the atomic bombing, which visitors can listen to through earphones. The audio explanations are available in 14 languages besides Ukrainian, including English and Chinese.
