英会話 feel English 23/6/12 L37 You know what?

You know what? は学校ではほとんど習わない、でも使えたらカッコいいフレーズです。
1).「ねえ、 知ってる?」と相手の注意を引きたいときの You know what?
Paul and Emily bump into each other at a cafe one day.

エミリーはカフェでポールとばったり会います。
(Emily bumps into Paul at a cafe.)

Not much.
Good for him. それはよかった。

What’s up?
Not much. Oh, you know what? Greg has a new girlfriend.

ねえ、知ってる?

ばったり会ったポールとエミリー。 大して話す話題もなさそうでしたが、「あ、そうだ」 と言う感じで、グレッグに新しい彼女ができたことをエミリーが切り出します。
(Paul and Emily bump into each other. They didn’t seem to have much to talk about, but then, “Oh, yeah,” Emily says, “Greg’s got a new girlfriend.)
