1 会社のミーティングに、電車の遅延で遅刻してしまいそうなあなた。チームリーダーのデイブに、電話でその旨を伝えてください。
(You feel like you’re going to be late for a company meeting because your train is delayed. Please give Dave, our team leader, a call and let him know.)

Dave: Hi, good morning. What’s up?
You: ( ).

Hi, Dave. I’m sorry, but chances are I’ll be a bit late for the meeting because of a train delay. I’ll take a taxi from the station, so I should arrive by 10:45. So, please start the meeting without me, OK?

chances are (that) -, 「おそらく~だろう」という形。
because of -, は理由・原因を表すフレーズ。後ろに名詞を使います。節を使うならbecause S + V となります。
by 「期限(~までに)」を表しています。 〜までには
without me 「私なしで」。「私を待たないで」

2 初めての東京旅行を計画している海外の友人から電話がありました。 「東京であちこち回りたいのだけど、どうすればいい?」と尋ねる友人に応答してください。
