アルプスの名物 「ヨーデル」
とある有名なアニメでもおなじみのスイスアルプスには、 伝統的な民俗音楽「ヨーデル」 があります。 テンポよく低音と高音を切り替える独特の歌い方が印象的で、アニメの主題歌にも使われていますね。

実は、 日本の皆さんが山で思わず叫びたくなる 「ヤッホー」も、どうやらヨーデルのフレーズに由来しているようです。 ちなみに、 アメリカにはヨーデルのコンテストなるものがあります。 アメリカ人なら誰もが知っているフレーズがあり、 カタカナで表すと「ヨーデレリヒーフー｣ と歌います。 山に登る機会があれば、一度歌ってみてください。
