Around the world
we’re on the move.
Speak up every week,
and you’ll improve.
You can talk to me.
We can laugh and smile.
Eikaiwa Time Trial

Let’s get started with Day 11 for the month of September.
Thanks for joining us.
Welcome to a new week of -.
(You are virtually visiting Florida, USA.)
And our theme for this month is “Prepare for Emergencies in Florida”
That’s right.
It’s an important theme.
(Let’s learn expressions related to disaster prevention this week in Florida.)
(At Friday’s dialogue karaoke, everyone will enjoy a sunset cruise with Jenny…)
But you get a notification of an earthquake on your phone.
(It seems that you will receive a notification on your smartphone about the occurrence of an earthquake, so let’s share the information with Jenny.)
(We will also talk about what measures I usually take to prepare myself.)

(Practice expressions used when preparing for an earthquake.)
And there is one more thing, today and this week our radio show will be in almost all English.
You can do it. Okay, let’s begin with our first time trial.

Now I’ll say something in Japanese. And you say it in English.
Hereis the first one. It’s a question.
Go ahead.
The simple answer is “Was that an earthquake?”
Here is the next one.
Start with “How big -?” Go ahead.
Next how do you say 余震 in English?” is -.
The answer is aftershock. Say it after me. Aftershock.
Now use that in this question.
