まず何よりも、私、 海が好きじゃないの。

オリビアが、 夏にスキューバダイビングしようと誘いますが、エミリーは断ります。 理由を聞かれたエミリーの頭の中には、断る理由がいくつか浮かびますが、最初に最も重要な理由を言おう、というキモチで、(Olivia invites Emily to try scuba diving in the summer, but Emily declines. When Emily was asked about her reasons, several reasons for her refusal came to mind, but she decided to tell her most important reasons first.)
First of all,… を使っています。 このように first of all は文字どおり「すべての中で最初に来るのは (=最も重要なのは)」という意味から、 「まず第一に、まず何よりも」という意味になります。 いちばん言いたいことを伝えるときに、文の始めに置いて使います。
