アメリカで 「食卓の用意」 といえば、 どんなことをするんですか?
(What do you do when you talk about “preparing the table” in the U.S.?

子どものときからよく Can you set the table? と頼まれていました。
キッチンから、みんなのお皿を運んで、 それぞれの席の前に置いて、ナイフ、フォーク、スプーンなどをそれぞれのお皿の横にセットしていましたよ。(I carried everyone’s plates from the kitchen and placed them in front of each seat, setting knives, forks, spoons, etc. next to each plate.)
