What should you do if you disagree with your friend?
Mmm. If you disagree with your friend.
Riku, do you know the word “disagree”?
Disagree. Agree, opposite.
That’s right.
Very good.
It’s the opposite of “agree.” When you agree with your friend, it means that you and your friend think the same way about something.
And when you disagree with your friend, it means that you and your friend think differently about something.
You don’t agree.
Right. “To disagree” means “not to agree.”
Riku, do you and your friends always agree about everything?
Not always. Often.
“Often.” How about you and your friends, Hannah?
Oh, no. Of course, we don’t always agree.
Well, same here. My friends and I don’t always agree.
So, listeners, what should you do if you disagree with your friend?
We’ll talk about that this week, and Riku, on Day 5, you’ll share your thoughts and tell us why you think so.
Right.
Now, let’s take a look at this week’s dialogue.
Last time, Mr. Arai, the teacher in charge of the video club, said he would talk to Taiga about Mika’s idea to have a vote.
Yes. A vote to decide the final project of the year.
And it seems like they did have a vote.
Right. Now, Mika and Rumi are talking privately after the vote.
Let’s listen to their conversation.
