愛知県にある藤田医科大学の宇山一朗教授らがシンガポール国立大学でロボットを操作し、藤田医科大学の手術台に設置された模擬臓器からがんを切除する手術を遠隔で行う実証実験の様子が公開されました。

conduct an experiment「実験を行う」、perform surgery「手術を行う」
文脈によって、「行う」という意味での conduct に代えて perform を使うこともありますが、conductにはリーダーシップを取るというニュアンスがあるのに対して、perform はその作業の内容に焦点が置かれます。
conduct「行い、振る舞い」という意味の名詞のときと、「行う」という意味の動詞のときとで、強勢の位置が異なります。名詞のときは第１音節を、動詞のときは第２音節を強く発音
