inherit 引き継ぐ
To receive something from the previous owner. For example, we inherited this house from my parents.
associated with -, ~に伴う、 〜と結びついている
Related, or connected corresponding to part of something, someone, or something that is connected to something else. For example what are the risks associated with this medication.
distinctive 際立った
Having a particular or unique trait, having a characteristic being able to distinguish or defferentiate from others.
make a parallel to -, ~と比較する
To use an analogy to compare, especially to find similarities. Maestro Slatkin made a parallel between NHK’s symphony orchestra and the business world to explain his point. Making parallels to things can sometimes provide us with context and information that may be difficult to explain.
woodwinds 木管楽器
Woodwinds are wind instruments in a band or orchestra. This includes such instruments as the clarinet, flute and oboe.
