Around the world
we’re on the move.
Speak up every week,
and you’ll improve.
You can talk to me.
We can laugh and smile.
Eikaiwa Time Trial

Let’s get started with Day 11 for the month of July.
Thanks for joining us.
Welcome to a new week of -.
(You are visiting Switzerland virtually this month.)
And our theme for this month is time.
Exactly.
(This person will navigate you on Friday’s program.)

Hi, everyone. I’m Janni Olsson. Swiss watches are very famous in Europe and around the world. Let’s go to a special museum with antique watches and clocks. See you Friday.
Thanks, Yanni.

(This time, we will practice to be able to say dates, days of the week, and the Western calendar in English.)
And one more announcement, everyone. Today and this week, our radio show will be in almost all English.

-Okay. Let’s begin our first time trial.
Now I’ll say something in Japanese, and you express it in English.
Here is the first one.

Did you say, “What date is today?”
That’s okay. But it’s easy to confuze.
What day is today?
So the best way to say is this.
What is today’s date?
