とっておきの返答を用意して会話を楽にしよう(Make the conversation easier with a special response)

スピーキングはライティング、リーディング、リスニングよりも難易度の高い技能。(Speaking is a more difficult skill than writing, reading and listening.)
特別なトレーニングをしないと、なかなか流ちょうに話せるようになりません。 (It is very difficult to become fluent without special training.)
それでも、早く上達する人には秘けつがあります。 (Still, there is a secret for those who improve quickly.)
その1つが予測できる質問に対して答えをあらかじめ準備して口慣らし、場合によっては丸暗記すること。 (Prepare answers in advance to questions that one can anticipate, familiarize oneself with the answers, and in some cases, memorize them by heart.)
僕自身、日本でよく聞かれる「どうして日本に来たの?」「どこの出身?」「食べられる物は?」といった質問には、あらかじめとっておきの返答を作って録音して、何度も声に出す練習をしたもの。(I myself, when I am asked questions such as, “Why did you come to Japan?”, “Where are you from?”, and “What can you eat?” What I practiced to put out to.)
いわば自分のおはこで、これがあったからこそ、日本語がレベルアップできたと今でも思います。(It was my own box, so to speak, and I still think that I was able to improve my Japanese because of this.)
今から準備を始めるなら、 What do you do for a living? (お仕事は何をしていますか?) は仕事についての非常によくある質問ですよね。
ぜひあらかじめ答えを用意して、実際に声に出して口慣らししておきましょう。 (Be sure to prepare your answers in advance and actually say them out loud to get used to them.)「質問されて初めて答えを考えて、初めて英語で文を作って、初めて口に出す」というのは、突然で予測できない質問だけにしましょうね。(Only ask a sudden and unpredictable question, and only think of an answer the first time you are asked, make a sentence in English the first time you are asked, and speak it out.)

旅先では質問表現の用意も忘れずに! (Don’t forget to prepare question expressions when traveling!)
海外に行くとなれば、新しい町で自分からする質問もありますね。 (When I go abroad, I have some questions to ask myself in a new town.)
特に便利なのは What kind of (物) is popular in (その場所)?で、現地で人気の物を聞く質問。これで相手に話題を振ることができます。(This allows the other person to talk about the topic.)
自分から質問をするほうが、会話は楽になるもの。自分の英会話表現のレパートリーに、この質問表現を入れておきましょう! (Asking questions makes the conversation easier. Add this question expression to your repertoire of English conversation expressions!)
