23/12/18 Rachel English – SET IN STONE (Idiom) 🗿

We recently renovated our bathroom,
and my husband and I were talking about the placement of the faucet,
and where it should be.
He said, “Didn’t we already decide that?”
and I said, “I don’t think it’s set in stone.”
And the. I had to laugh because “set in stone” is an idiom,
that means final, cannot be changed.
But also, literally our faucet are going to be set in stone.
So don’t forget that idiom.
“Set in stone” – permanet, can no longer be changed.
